Mint Leaf on Shattuck (Berkeley)

Was walking down Shattuck past Epicurious Garden and noticed a new Indian Restaurant, Mint Leaf. Any reports?

  1. This is the revamped Taste. Same owners as all along, the Aggarwal brothers, who also own Khana Peena. Have they taken out the wine-dispensing gizmos?

One of them told the Chron that the spicing would be milder. They were considering making it organic and/or seasonal.

Milder spicing? Ummm? Well we'll try it tonight before the Berkeley Rep show.

        Hello:

girlfromberkeley, curious if you did check out Mint Leaf? And if so, what you thought? Although, "milder than Khana Peena" sounds too mild for me....

        your comments welcome! Thanks!

Indeed. Bring on the heat! Milder spicing? Arg. I like Khana Peena, but not if I'm in the mood for spicy.

I liked Taste OK, but not enough to go more than once. Not sure what it was that didn't work for me. Apparently others felt the same.

    2. I checked out the menu on my way to work, I plan to try it out tomorrow night.
