BonBonBars Candy Bars

sku Feb 22, 2008 08:41 AM

I've recently been eating some of the excellent candy bars from this new LA based company. I tried a Scotch Bar, made with single malt Scotch, reviewed here: http://recenteats.blogspot.com/2008/0...

and a caramel nut bar, loaded with gooey caramel, organic nuts and cacao nibs.

These really are a new level of candy bar. Check 'em out.

I too thought they were wonderful.

I also tried the Malt bar (dark and milk chocolate). The shortbread cookie base tastes like pure crunchy butter. The malted ganache is soft and creamy with a dark resonance of both chocolate and malt.

Nina of BonBonBar has truly thrown her heart into her bars and it shows. They're fantastic. Pricey at $5.00 each and of course you have to order them ... but then again, she makes them to order.

I emailed her a week ago and she said that she may add a nougat bar for the Spring holidays.
