Need tally-votes for one of too many restaurants!! Agh!!

Going out for dinner with a friend that just moved to New York, so looking for something New Yorky but not really touristy.

I am looking at all of these places:

Kitchen Club
Apizz
Little Giant
Degustation
Falai
Salt
Five Ninth
Butter

I've heard great things about all, so can you help me "vote"?? Thanks!!

So, without Apizz, what are other recommendations based on the above??

We had a great meal at The Orchard last week. Same cool neighborhood.

T'd vote for Degustation- food, ambience, everything was just wondeful and truly original. Little Giant is really nothing "New Yorky" and I thought the food was overpriced.

Admittedly I haven't been to Degustation but I would also recommend Apizz. Especially if it's cold and inclement outside, Apizz is very inviting and cozy inside. The food is hearty and, provided you're into things like meatballs and gnocchi, very good.

I would have to vote for Apizz, especially on a cold snowy day. Also a great neighborhood to walk around in and have drinks afterwards.
