shawarma near Scotia Theatre

apple_pie Feb 22, 2008 03:19 AM

Hey guys,

Going to see a movie tonight at the Scotia Theatre (formerly the Paramount) and my friend mentioned he was in the mood for shawarma. What's the best and closest place to there for us to grab a quick bite? (i.e. within 5ish min walking distance - it's too cold to go much further these days:P) I believe the theatre is at John and Richmond.

Thanks a lot!

The sharwarma there is good, agreed, but I found it small and expensive.

There's also King Shawarma at Queen and Spadina (just past the McDonald's)

It just isn't the same King Shawarma under the new owners. Give it a BIG avoid.

Totally agree. I went in there once and the shawarma was dry and tasteless. Never again. I assume it was the new owners, but man was it bad.
