grocery/food delivery in Kansas City

Hello everybody~

I'm in dire need of some suggestions. I have a dear friend in Kansas City for the next couple of months receiving medical treatment. She lives in an apartment close to the hospital (not sure which one), but she's there all alone, so shopping for groceries is pretty hard. To top it all off, she's a trained chef and LOVES to cook. So, I was wondering if I could get a few suggestions for good takeout, maybe a grocery delivery service if possible and/or a gourmet grocery/market.

    Location is definitely going to help us, since a lot of takeout places won't deliver if it's too far away. McGonigle's is well known for their meat, and they deliver.

      Kansas City is an enormous city, from a square-mile perspective, so it would certainly help to know what part of town she's in before recommending takeout and gourmet grocers.

      I did a quick web search, and I turned up a couple of grocery delivery options.

      Hy-Vee is an area-wide grocer, and they do offer shop-at-home and delivery services:
