Tiffin(sp?) in Boston?

Do any Indian restaurants offer this?

Do you mean tiffin (as in the vertically stacked steel lunchboxes) or thali, the small, shallow bowls containing various dal, etc., all arranged on a steel dish? I don't think I've ever seen tiffin in this area. Do tell us if you track a source down!

The tiffin I saw at guru were the vertically stacked lunch boxes. As I said, looked too nice to leave at a random office, but might have been for special clients, the way some folks leave chopsticks at their favorite sushi bar? Next time I'm there I'll ask him.

Thanks, everyone. It's been awhile since I've checked in.

I will have to look into Guru...

Kabab & Tandoor advertise it on their menu, but I don't think they deliver themselves.

The closest thing I can think of to an Indian tiffin lunch service is Guru the Caterer in Cambridge.

Prav -- do they actually deliver in a tiffin? I saw several of them stacked up when I was getting take-away the other day, but I couldn't imagine them leaving them behind.

And happy birthday, by the way!
