Organic Groceries in Vail
We are renting a condo in Vail, CO for the first 2 weeks of March. We want to cook our own meals some nights and were wondering about good grocery stores in town where we could buy organic (or at least antibiotic-free) chicken, other organic meats and organic produce. We won't have a car so it would have to be in the village.

You can also look into a service like Ski Country Grocer (https://www.skicountrygrocer.com/inde...), where you can pre-order food and have it delivered to your condo.

Eat! Drink!, in Edwards, sells lovely artisan cheeses and boutique wines, and Freshies Natural Foods Market speclializes in raw, gluten-free and vegan foodstuffs (along with prepared foods, using mostly organic ingredients), but Edwards is a 15-20 minute drive/bus ride from Vail. It's a cute town, though, and worth exploring.
City Market, as a whole, is your average supermarket, although the one in Vail stocks quite a bit of organic produce. The other alternative is Keely Fine Foods (www.keelyfinefoods.com), an online specialty foods market that delivers directly to your door. They carry Nueske's ham, Organic Valley Chicken, grass-fed beef and a myriad of Colorado-made products. Vail does have a good farmers' market and there's a terrific farmers' market in Minturn, but unfortunately, it's far too early in the season to take advantage of either one.
