Berlin recs please?

Hi, I will be spending a long weekend in Berlin. I would very much appreciate recommendations. Any type of food goes (German, Ethnic, you name it). Any type of budget goes too (but we'd prefer mostly mid-range, with some hole in the wall places and just a few high-end places).

I've posted about this place before, but I'd go to Oderquelle - Prenzlauer Berg. German with a twist, laid back, reasonable.

By far, our favorite Berlin food was that at KaDeWe. The only thing we disliked was that... it was closed on Sundays! We so much wanted to go back during the last day of our stay.

Berlin's a large city. Perhaps as a starting point, you might want to check the various recent Berlin threads on the international board (just a short scroll down w/your mouse) to narrow down your options. If you have any questions after that regarding specific neighborhoods, cuisines, or price ranges, I'm sure some of the Berlin hounds would be delighted to help you out.
