I think after hearing him speak I'd only be happy w/some grass-fed beef and local in-season veggies (kale & winter squash?) that I cooked at home.

Funny! The next best thing would probably be Local 121 or Citron downtown, which do the organic, locally sourced thing. Don't go in with sky-high food expectations... They're both great environments and OK cuisines.

That said, if you're set on going out, La Laiterie--they source very carefully as well. They cost a bit more, but the food is much better than L121.

Talk was great - he is a great speaker, very dynamic, knowledgeable, funny and informative - the hall was packed - they even reached max in a simulcast room. Went to La Laiterie after - had a very good meal - recognized several faces from the lecture, which was no surprise. Service was good, but very very biased towards regulars - which would be great if I were a regular. I thought about 121, but have heard many mixed reviews.
