Tacos El Panson -SD

I was wondering if anyone has had their al pastor recently - seeing as it is one of the handful of places with a trompa (gyros spit). Anything else such as Gorditas, Mulitas?

  1. Funny thing.....unless something has changed in the last 7 weeks, they still call it Adobada on the menu. I'm used to Al Pastor and Adobada being used interchangeably, but have always thought of meat being cut from the "trompo" being Al Pastor(Shephard style), and the plain marinated and grilled called Adobada.

      Hey, KR and KK,

If I understand this subject correctly, traditional al pastor has pineapple on top of the cone of marinated pork slices and a portion of it is added to the taco.

In Rosarito, all the stands are "adobada" and have an onion on top of the cone of pork, but they don't add a slice of the roasted onion.
