Pho Thaison-Southpark Meadows

Got the bug today and it knocked me on my butt. So I went on a search for some chicken soup. I knew there was a Vietnamese restaurant there and they've just opened. It's right off Slaughter near the Taco Bell And Little Woodrows. I orderd the Pho Ga for just over $7 and it is some of the best chicken soup I've had in a while. Enough for 2. One container is the broth, the next chicken(white and dark)and some veggies. And a bag of bean sprouts, jalapenos, cilantro and hot sauce. The atmosphere looked OK for eat in. New and clean. Close to home I'll be back.

  1. I recently moved from Central to South Austin, and have been looking for good Vietnamese fair. I have been disappointed by almost every establishment South of the river. We've eaten at Pho Thaison twice now, and it's been solid each time. The Pho and Mi are both very tasty, plenty of fresh herbs/veggies to go in it, and the service/atmosphere was good. I'm very happy to have it in the neighborhood.

Now if someone could open a proper Bahn Mi shop, I'd be set.
