Any decent quick places to grab dinner around the Staples Center?

I'm sick of eating at the Staples Center so for tonight's game, i want to grab dinner before hand. My friend is meeting me at SC, so we want to go somewhere really close by, preferably walking distance. Does such place exist?

Nic + Stef's, while pretty damn expensive, is quick if you tell them you need to get to the game. I believe they even have a shuttle.

Not really. I've been faced with this situation a lot, and usually with limited time. Two places to avoid completely: Liberty Grill and that Italian place next to the car wash.

Riordan's Tavern (sit at the bar)
The Palm (probably not a quick dinner)
further up:
Zucca (I've done the happy hour, that worked pretty well in terms of time and food)
Roy's (sit at the bar), this would be the best food option IMO.

I've resorted to eating some sort of tie-over snack in Staples, and then getting a good dinner later in Jtown or Chinatown.

hmmm....happy hour at Zucca might be a nice option. Looks like their HH runs till 7pm.

What about Blue Velvet? I thought it was located near Staples...

It's relatively nearby in that it's downtown on the other side of the 110, but I wouldn't consider it walking distance from Staples.
