Most Romantic Restaurants in Ontario?

Hey there,

I'm researching the most romantic restaurants in Ontario (more specifically, in Ottawa, East, West and North GTA, Sarnia, Windsor, Niagara Region, Kitchener-Waterloo, Peterborough, Kingston, Barrie (and area), Muskoka, Sudbury, North Bay and Sault Ste. Marie. Might anyone happen to have any recommendations?

I'd love to know what distinguishing features make a restaurant romantic, in your opinion.

Thanks so much,

Jeslyn

Since you ask for the most romantic, and not necessarily the best, I'll cast a vote for romance in Scarborough at Bluffers Restaurant. Next time the heavenly bodies do something spectacular I suggest taking your heavenly body there. The view, especially from the patio, is good enough to compensate for the okay food.

      Benmiller Inn in Benmiller
      The Little Inn in Bayfield
Kettle Creek Inn in Port Stanley.

Toronto.com had a list of what they thought were Toronto's most romantic tables (http://toronto.com/restaurants/articl...). I'd have to agree with them on Canoe. I love how dim it is in the restaurant during dinner.

To me, a romantic restaurant is one that is dimly light (with candles!) and tables that allow you to be cozy (either in a booth or can hold hands across the table...something you can't do at Vertical with those tables that make you feel SO far away from your date). Also, I DO like some action in the restaurant, but not TOO loud to the point where you can't hear each other.

Thanks for these! To the Toronto list, I would add the two-person booths at Le Select Bistro. You're in the middle of it all, yet it feels secluded and snug...
