Atlanta -- Dinner Options near Omni Hotel at CNN Center

  • b
  • 4

I will be attending a business conference at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center next week and I was looking for your recommendations for a casual business dinner within walking distance of the hotel if possible. I would prefer non-chain and open to all cuisines. Casual to business casual atmosphere is best for this trip and I don't anticipate that price will be an issue. Non-touristy places would be a bonus.

Thanks!

  1. Stats is a new high-end sports bar right next door with a varied menu. It's the newest venture from the best restaurant group in town (imo).

    1. I work at CNN Center. Did not have a good experience at Stats the only time I've been. Try Luckie, behind the Georgia Aquarium or Thrive, corner of Marietta and Spring. French American Bistro at Allen Plaza is a bit of a hike but good nonetheless. Avoid anything in CNN Center. To be honest, there's not a lot near the Omni that's walkable. Try a cab to Midtown or Virginia Highland.

      1. Dailey's is about 10-blocks away (I've walked it and it's not bad, but depends on the time of night). It's a downtown staple for business diners. Their swordfish is their signature dish, and they offer a giant dessert bar that makes my husband drool.

Great food. No tourists. Try the white bean and truffle oil soup for starters.

You can walk through Centennial Park or take a very short cab ride.
