Any place interesting around the USDA training facility? Where do all you hungry DOT workers eat? Many thanks in advance for any tips.

The hungry DOT workers have left the Nassif building (currently under re-construction) for their new home near the Navy Yard.

In addition to the other suggestions, try the Ford HOB cafeteria on 3rd Street or Au Bon Pain in Capital Gallery.

There are also a few other fairly standard sandwich shops/by-the-pound buffets in addition to those listed scattered around, but none come even close to the quality of the meats in the sandwiches at the Atrium just down your block.

There is a new fairly large Korean deli in the Capitol Gallery two blocks from School Street. It has an excellent by the pound buffet, two choices of soup with $3.50 for a 16 ounce size, and the usual multitude of sandwich choices.

The Atrium cafe on School St, SW has hand carved sandwiches. Otherwise its Subway, McDonalds, and Quiznos.
