491419 Wed Feb 20 00:42:37 -0800 2008 1 32 Chains 0 3415719 tried the old but new "fresco" menu at tb this week - they replace the cheese w/pico de gallo - and was sort of on the fence. i didn't miss the fake cheese but the pico de gallo didn't really hit the spot. i felt like the tomatoes had an odd texture - maybe frozen first? not sure - maybe just the regular old not-in-season tomatoes. wondered if anyone had any insights? Anyway.. the fresco sauce has went downhill over the last 3 years. 2 years ago, when there was a tomato shortage, they were sparsely sprinkling the fresco. Then, tomatoes came back and the sauce has not been the same. I think they are buying bad tomatoes for less money. I wish I could have the Chipotle mild salsa on my TB taco!
