Where in the Los Angeles area can I find a Chicago style hot dog?
In Sherman Oaks, at Rubin's Red Hots, just west of Sepulveda on the south side of Ventura.
I'm not a connoisseur of the Chicago dog, but those more authoritative have indicated this is genuine.
There's a Chicago hot dog joint in Whittier.I think it's on Greenleaf Ave, but I don't recall the name.The dogs were great!

in chicago, fluky's is a popular purveyor of the classic dog, though i prefer wally's on the far northwest side near the corner of diversey and central.
A Chicago style Hot Dog is never served with Ketchup. It is served with mustard,onions,relish,slice of pickle,tomato and celery salt. Many Hot Dog stands in Chicago like Jimmys on Grand & Pulaski, posts a sign that reads don't ask for Ketchup.
I have been to L.A. many times and never been to a Hot Dog stand but I have been to Dodger Stadium and love the Dodger Dogs!
