MSP (St. Louis Pk) el Gordo, new owners

I've enjoyed el Gordo for a few years now. Went yesterday to find it had new owners/staff.
Had a wonderful platter of carnitas. Delicious chunks of savory roasted pork, 4 pieces each the size of a lime. Served with beans, rice, lettuce, tortillas and a little quacamole. Other diners had things that looked and smelled great. Located in the little strip mall between Cub and Knollwood Center, Hwy 7 in St. Louis Pk.

MMmmmmmm - carnitas! I'm glad to know there's good Mexican food in this area - thanks for posting.

Cool. I live in St Louis Park near I-394. Didn't know about El Gordo, though I've been to Knollwood Mall (the T shirt place and Radio Shack). Gotta write that name down...

I lived in Albuquerque for a very long time, and miss good Mexican and New Mexican food. Hope the chile has some heat.
