The best Olive Garden type restaurant in terms of food is probably Barone's in Sherman Oaks or Fritto Misto (for pasta anyway) in Santa Monica.

I can only assume you don't REALLY want the Olive Garden...

From your zagat link... "N.B. in a curious move, they've opened an Olive Garden Riserva di Fizzano Ristorante in Tuscany."

AAAAAAAAAArgh! Have they no shame?? My god, I'm going to practice a Canadian accent before going to Tuscany.

In the December Issue of Cucina Italiana, amongst ads for Averna, Fernet Branca, Delverde Pasta, Salvatore Mirisola Olive Oil, Grana Padano, and Verenna Poliform.... is an Olive Garden advert. LOL!

We can only hope that O.G. will be so humiliated that they'll actually learn how to cook real Italian food. A few years ago I read an article about O.G. that mentioned how they tailor the menus in different locations to conform with what people in the area perceive Italian food to be. That must mean that the West Jefferson, Ohio O.G. serves Chef Boyardee ravioli from a can.

      2. why ???
