Philly foodie visiting Notre Dame...any good eats?

Hey Notre Dame alums,
I'm visiting my brother this weekend at University of Notre Dame. He's a freshman so doesn't know the area too well yet. Any recommendations where to eat...breakfast, lunch or dinner?? We're willing to travel about a 1/2 hour from the university. Anything unique or just plain delicious (food or place) we should check out? Thanks!! :)

Barnab'y Pizza on Jefferson St in downtown SB. Great thin crust pizza and cheap beer. Also, Rocco's pizza on St Louis St near campus.
For great Amish food about 40 minutes away, try Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury,IN.

I second Barnaby's for burgers as well and Rocco's for Pizza. Also Original Pancake house for breakfast. Also CJ's Pub for a burger. For finer dining check out Tippanecanoe and ask for the manager "Bullet" a friend of mine.

This is the PA board. Notre Dame is in Indiana.

Yeah, I know. I just thought some alum would have some input. I'm from Philly and I trust the foodies here.

It will probably get moved nonetheless.
