Count me in : Trattoria Gran Gusto

They steal it for best authentic Neapolitan style pizza in Boston. What a thrill to eat a pizza that's not dripping with grease or not biting into a soggy, chewy crust. The flavor of the wood fire just can't be beat either. If you love European style pizzas, you will relish in their perfectly executed pizzas. Excellent homemade desserts and espresso as well.

  1. I agree on the pizza. You can tell someone really knows what he/she is doing. I found most of the other food is rather good as well.

The overall experience, on the other hand, is kind of unpleasant. The cheesy decor and the overbearing waiter made it hard to optimally enjoy the food.

Yeah the decor is pretty tacky. Our waiter was a little awkward but not overbearing but then again, I don't hold pizza restaurants to a very high standard when it comes to service. The service was correct.

We also enjoyed the pizza but had the overbearing waiter, who became the disappearing waiter once our main courses arrived. Those main courses were a letdown after the pizza. I had a special of pasta with langostines, or rather one not-very-meaty langoustine that was more decorative than filling (I know they're smaller than lobsters but this was sort of ridiculous). My wife's scallops were seriously overcooked.
