B in B'More

I just wanted to give a little recognition to a restaurant which it seems is often overlooked (at least on this board). B in Bolton Hill has been great every time I've gone. My parents and I went for brunch today (I'd been for dinner twice before), and it was wonderful. The eggs Benedict with spinach was the highlight, but everything was perfectly prepared, and service was impeccable, as with the other times I've been.

I went for dinner over last summer as well, and the combination of the weather (we ate outside), the service, and the food worked to make it one of the most pleasureable meals I've had in a very long time. I don't know if it's because it's a little off the beaten path, or because the place has some warts that I haven't experienced when I've gone, but I haven't seen it discussed too much here and wanted to give some props.

  1. I wholeheartedly agree. They have one the best brunches in the city esp. if you like benedicts.
we head over that way for dinner every couple of months and always have a great experience. I love that you can go the very nice meal route or that you can share an appetizer& a pizza for a more casual, cheaper meal. Not to mention that in the summer it is a great place to have a glass of wine and a snack alfresco.
I love the Shrimp gnocchi and they make great risotto's. Plus they always have wonderful deserts-the pot de creme is top notch
    excellent wine list and service

    1. I also agree. B is one of my favorite fall back restaurants. There risottos are amazing. get the cheese plate after dinner, they have this truffle chutney on there that is fabulous. They used to have a prix fixe for $30 for three courses on Sundays a while back but not sure if they do anymore.

      1. Just more Love for B. We went on Friday night just for dessert and wine. I had the Creme Brulee, wonderful and the berries it was served with were very sweet. My husband had the Apple tart again a great dessert. I feel like there is a real lack of great dessert places in this town. B is a great spot for a spur of the date or a planned event.

        1. Sounds good; I've been wanting to check it out. How much are the dinner entree's (on average)?

I'm not rembering exactly but that is a good thing that means it wasn't a shocker. It seems like they range from around 12-24 with cheaper sandwich and pizza options.
Dessert and wine by the glass are typical, dessert typically 7.50 and wine by the glass 7-9.
