Hi - I'm new to this site but am curious where I can find out about winemaker's dinners in Los Angeles. I know of restaurants that do them but I always seem to find out about them after the fact.

Check out the Local Wine Events site for your area (Los Angeles linked below). Traffic isn't as high yet as for up here, but it's worth a try.

You could also check with restaurants that regularly/periodically sponser wine makers' dinners, such as Pastis and Bistro 45.

The James Beard Society may also be a resource.

Call Wine Expo at 310-828-4428 or go to the store at:
2933 Santa Monica Blvd. in Santa Monica.

They frequently stage wine dinners that are terrific, I've been to many of them. They are also the most knowledgeable and most most comprehensive store on Italian wines, certainly in L.A. and possibly the country. You can also subscribe to their mailing list for news of dinners etc., but don't have the address handy. I'm sure you can get it if you call them.
BTW, I have no affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

I occasionally go to events sponsored by the Winebrats. It's a national organization with a chapter here in LA. They come up with some pretty cool stuff. The URL is below.
