Recs near Didney Wurld?

Yes, I'll be staying at a Disney resort, but since I read these boards I'm not a fan of hotel/chain restaurants. Any recs for nearby chow-type places - ethnic, asian, pizza, you name it as long as it is chow-worthy. Thanks in advance!

Many of the Disney parks, particularly Epcot, as well as the resorts have excellent food at a decent price- surprising for Disney! The world showcase at Epcot obviously has most of the ethnic varieties covered, but the resorts are not to be overlooked- check out allearsnet.com for a full menu listing of all the Disney hotels. I know you said you wanted to avoid hotels, but these are worth a try. I just had Jiko and loved it. I've heard great things about Boma (also in AK Lodge), as well as Citrico's, Narcoosee's, and bluezoo.

LTHForum has had several threads, no great discoveries but a few things that beat the chains:

check out the celebration town tavern
            pizza: Lazy moon by UCF

I'd also agree that epcot/disney has a lot for chow such as buffalo at artist pointe and Yachtsman steakhouse and blue zoo and Boma and Jiko are great.

Also don't forget to stop at Aloha isle in Adventureland ( before Pirates ) and try a dole whip or dole whip float.
