I have needs...anybody know where in Dallas to get one? And I mean an authentic one, not one that has been "altered"...no canned tuna, etc...Thanks!

I think that seared, fresh tuna is the alteration. The authentic dish uses canned tuna. Keep in mind, however, that mediterranean canned tuna is superior to the standard in the USA.

mediterranean tuna packed in oil is defintely the nicoise standard.

I think you can also get it at Voila Bakery in Allen (and you can also have it as a sandwich in a pan bagnat) but I can't really vouch for it's goodness or expensiveness or anything (although the tuna seemed pretty good and not canned to me when I got the sandwich).

You're in luck. I was looking over the menu for Rise N1 the other day and noticed a Nicoise salad on the menu with seared ahi.

This is very tasty! All the ingredients are tasty - it might actually be more exciting than the savory souffles.
