Is it thumbs up or down for this restaurant?

It is ranked one of the top 10 restaurants in the whole world

    Good luck with getting reservations

Thanks for the link. I did not know the corkage fee was $0. That makes the bottom line a lot better!

A few years back it was $250 per person, and the wines you bring will probably cost at least another $150 pp

But I think the menu is $275 per person. It's either that or $250. So if you are worried about the bottom line...

That 'particular' ranking is 2002. In 2007 of that 'particular' ranking, Eigensinn Farm is nowhere to be seen.

The prices jumped from $150 pp to $250 after that ranking. I stopped going there at that point.

Top 10 in the WORLD?!!! In 2002, may be?!! But definitely not now! I've eaten much better meals ( taste, sophistication and value for money ) in the States, Europe and Asia!! In fact on a given night, a chef like David Lee of Splendido can cook up something equally special if not more so! Two hours drive from the GTA for a meal there! Not worth it!!

FYI, it's now $275. We're going in May.
