Korean Galbi Buffet in Orlando?

  • 6

Does anyone know any great all-you-can-eat Korean galbi places in or around the Orlando area? I am also willing to drive the distance if it's worth it!

I am looking for some great, authentic, well-seasoned galbi with all the great sides and fixings. I've only been to Shin Jung, but unfortunately, it's a little pricey as well as they don't give you that much.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

  1. The 327 Korean buffets I've frequented in my life have always maybe had Galbi as one item on the buffet, and certainly as a menu item when it wasn't on the buffet...

I'm a Galbi guy too... Love it!
Not when it's too sweet tho...

I almost prefer it as the Argentineans do it---- the same Flanken Rib cut of beef, with just the smokey grill carmelization and salt...

I have a couple places here, but I'm in Tampa kinda near the airport...

Mild Bill, tell me more that is around your area - any particular ones that are your favorites?

Let me know the locations and the prices! Thanks!

There was a big Korean restaurant on Hillsborough Avenue called 'Seoul' but they were bought out, remodeled, and reopened as 'Rice' --- a lil' fancier and pretty darn good Korean Buffet, along with a regular menu...
I went there about 5 times but haven't been there in a few months...
I think they were struggling, it's a big place...
They always had Galbi on the spread... Lots of good/cool stuff...

A smaller, possibly more stable Korean restaurant I go to more often is 'Ginza' (Han il Kwan) on Waters Avenue near Hanley Road...
They do a nice lunch buffet M-F, and a dinner buffet Thursday thru Saturday I believe... Lots of Sushi on the Sushi Bar section of the buffet...
They have Galbi more often on the dinner buffet...
You can always order it tho...

          Ginza does have KICKIN' Bulgogi...
Juicy and a little sweet--- but it's when you mix it with this kinda toasty, sticky, fried rice that they always have is when it becomes a classic dish...
That rice is consistent--- I don't know how they do it...
What a beautiful combo that is...

My pleasure... I just noticed you also asked about price...

$12.00 for lunch and $20.00 for dinner.... +/-

There's lots of Sushi up there that really makes it a good deal...
Not 'cutting edge' sushi, but fresh, varied, and tasty...

              All the best...
