A little birdie told me that the "General" will be offering some of their beers in bottles soon. This is great news as frankly, growlers suck. Anyone heard about a time frame?

Thanks!

Not sure about which ones they will bottle. I haven't seen anything from them for label applications on the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau site. They bottled an English Barleywine in 22 ounce bottles in celebration for the 275th Anniversary. They were going for around $20 at the brewpub but they may be out of them for the time being. I was told after the first batch sold out, they were going to rebottle more. They also have vintage cellared bottles available for "on premesis" consumption only. It's usually Barley Wines, Imperial Stouts, Belgian Ales, or other high gravity beers that are suitable for aging. Just ask the wait staff, or bartender to see the vintage beer list.

Thanks, and I've had virtually all the bottled beers that you've mentioned. How much time before actual bottling would you need to complete a label application? I would LOVE to have the old standbys like Sunset, Pacific, Chocolate Thunder and please, the relatively newly tapped Desperation IPA.
I find that their beers taste even better outside the General (maybe it has something to do with the smell of brewing ingredient which seem to always be in the air there).

Chocolate Thunder in 12oz'ers would be really nice. I heard the Gen. Laff is no longer selling sixtels, otherwise, we could make that a reality - right Mike ;)

And for those who are really into these types of things I've got to say that the Desperation IPA is nearly a DIPA in weight and mouthfeel and %abv 7.2. It was tapped on 2/5 I believe so it may be gone.
