Chez Vincent - still worth it?
I was wondering if Chez Vincent located in Winter Park is still worth the trip? I've seen past reviews, but they were both positive/negative in regards to the food and the service - has anyone been there recently?
I've been suggested to get their goat cheese pumpkin seed salad, their rack of lamb with bleu cheese sauce, and their mussels for appetizers.
We visited Chez Vincent in the fall and it was wonderful. I started with the traditional escargot and for my entree had the Coquilles St. Jacques, which was incredible. My husband had the snapper and he loved it. We shared the chocolate and raspberry mousse with a mango sauce for dessert and it was heavenly. The service was fine -- one of the highlights of the evening was owner/chef Vincent Gagliano coming around after dinner with a bottle (in the shape of the Eiffel Tower no less) of white port, giving us each a glass, asking how everything was, etc. It was a lovely evening and we plan to return very soon....it's a small place so I recommend reservations. Ask for a table by the window.
