Catering in Park Slope?

carroll Feb 12, 2008 05:47 PM

I'm hosting a very casual affair (square dancing) in park slope and am looking for some cheap catering.

Big trays of pasta is what I have in mind. Don't need staff on site, just need a decent and reasonable place where I can go and pick up some trays of food.

I would try Tonio's on 7th Ave between 7th and 8th street. Maybe Aunt Sonia's if you like their pasta. A lot of these Italian joints are either horrible and expensive or very good and expensive. I think Tonio's is good and reasonable. Strictly gravy Italian.

How about Polio? I've always had good experiences with them.

You might want to look at The Catering Cowboy http://www.cateringcowboy.com/caterin... (Howard Richman) . Besides being a caterer, he's also a Square Dance caller. He's from Jersey City, NJ.
