Anyone know where to get good fugu (blowfish) in LA? I've been itching to try it before.

I heard Makoto in Encino on ventura is pretty good...any other rec's?

Tsukiji, located in the Tozai Plaza in Gardena, will prepare a traditional multi-course fugu dinner for you, including fugu sashi and fugu-chiri. Calling in advance is essential.

I don't know. Call the restaurant if you're seriously interested and they'll tell you. I provided the restaurant's telephone number in the previous post.

Please tell me a little bit about Fugu.

The only licensed Fugu chef in the state opened up a restaurant here in Seattle (about 2 weeks ago) and we have yet to try it...waiting for them to iron out the "grand opening" wrinkles.

      Thanks!
