There's a difference between yams and sweet potatoes.

Both are good, just not the same.

You can get yam fries at Stanley's a restaurant on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks. They are pretty good.

If you're ever in Orange County-Veggie Grill near UC Irvine makes delicious sweet potato fries that come with a great ranch sauce.

For sweet potato, I like Boneyard Bistro. I have also had good ones the one time, yonks ago, my husband managed to cram us into a table at Father's office.

For lesser but still good Sweet Potato fries, I find those at tacone Wraps stands pretty good.

Yam fire, I have never seen nor tasted, but will have to soon! (one a friied food pass day)

The sweet potato fries at Topanga Canyon Bistro are the best I've had, very crispy
