I'm looking for molds or carved rolling pins for dutch / german speculaas cookies. Does anybody know where I can get one? I'll probably ask at Atlantique when I'm there next, but any help in the meantime would be appreciated.

Have you tried calling Ares and asking? They have the widest array of specialty baking equipment I've seen in the city. http://www.arescuisine.com/

If not, then perhaps an online source is your best bet.

Thanks for the link,
I'll definitely call Ares if I can't find somewhere more central, but their locations are a bit inaccessible from a public transport point of view.
I'm trying to avoid buying online, as all the suppliers I can find are either in the States or Germany, and shipping fees on a rolling pin can be quite hefty. The molds might be a possibility online though.

I looked at the link and that used to be the case, but they have a new outlet in Centre Laval - formerly hard to access by public transport, but now quite accessible via the new métro extension.

http://www.centrelaval.com/english/emplacement.html
- Subway: from the Montmorency metro station, it is a 10-minute walk to Centre Laval. You can also take a bus that will bring you to the centre.

- Bus; Centre Laval is serviced by several STL bus lines (39, 40, 42, 50, 60, 61, 63, 65, 76 and 903). To see the schedule, go to: www.stl.laval.qc.ca

I don't know where you live in Montréal and whether that is a reasonable trip for you.

If Ares doesn't have it (and can't order it) perhaps The Dutch Shop down in Grimsby, Ontario, carries it and would ship it at a reasonable cost?
