Kinder German Chocolate...
I'm in love with all things kinder right now and i've been ordering ferrero pocket coffee and kinder hippo's and others off of amazon.com.
please tell me there's a store to find this stuff in los angeles???
I've always had luck finding Kinder chocolate at Sorrento's (an Italian market in Culver City), and Hippos in particular I've always found at Ye Olde King's Head in Santa Monica.
You can buy Kinder Surprise eggs all over Los Angeles. There's a small selection of Kinder chocolate besides the eggs at the Baklava Factory in Glendale -- it doesn't seem to have made it to the other branches yet. I've also seen Kinder chocolate at Olive Marketplace, on Oxnard near Whitsett, and at Karabagh Meat Market, on Victory one block west of Woodman.
I personally can't stand the stuff so I couldn't tell you if it's stood up well to the shipment, but it's certainly available all over the Valley.
I've been getting mine at Mel & Rose's Wine & Spirits on Melrose.
They have the Kinder Eggs, Hippos and most other things, but I've never seen the Pocket Coffee.
But if you're a Pocket Coffee fan, you might want to try the Trader Joe's Espress Chocolates:
Bay Cities, the Italian Grocery in Santa Monica is where I buy my Kinder Buenos.
Alpine Village in Torrance has some of the other varieties.
I wonder if Schreiner's Deli in Glendale has a good selection. I bought German chocolate there once, but I don't remember the brand. Schreiner's seems to specialize in German products.
Also, does Target have any Kinder products? I feel like I've seen Kinder chocolates there before.
Schreiner's Fine Sausages
3417 Ocean View Blvd, Glendale, CA 91208
I would suggest that you'd find KinderSchokolade in just about any Armenian grocery store or bakery.
thanks for all your notes! i'm in need of a hippo fix. the pocket coffee seems to be a online thing so far...but i bought a trofft of it so i have some of those left.
