I have eaten at its previous incarnation "La Familia" and it was very good. I believe it has new owners but the same chef. The Oaxacan food is very authentic and very tasty. There was a chicken breast in a red chili sauce that we all loved. I hope they still have it. Here's a very recent review from Metroland: http://www.metroland.net/back_issues/...

I should also add, in case it's an issue, that there are very few vegetarian items on the menu.

I had read good things about this restaurant, so I went to check it out last night. At 7:00 pm on a Saturday night, the entire place was closed and all the lights were dark. Any one have any idea what happened? Is it closed for good, or was this just a random thing?

word is - closed for good.
Restaurant.com refunded their discount coupons - that is a pretty sure sign.

Yeah, another good, locally-owned, ethnic restaurant in Albany bites the dust. Very sad.
