Is this true? Anyone know?

May have to run back for the Wimpy Burger before it shutters ...

  1. Yes, went into escrow nearly a week ago, and while the name will apparently be retained, the nationality of the new owner(s) is definitely not Japanese, and thus who knows what direction the place might take.
And as to Tsuji Atsuhiro's future plans - that should be the real question!

    1. WOW - did not know that. Having lunch there on Friday - will check it out and report back. stay tuned and thanks for the heads up. On the subject of change - anyone have news about Centeno's new place and when it will open?? I'm eager to check it out.

      1. I just talked to Pat. It is 100% true.
But - here's the details. It will be happening over the next few months. Tsuji is going to train the new chefs and then take off (not sure where he's going) - but according to Pat the hopes that with Tsuji's tutelage Gorikee will stay "the same" as far as food/menu .... we'll see!
        Sad news.

I was so distraught when I found out it had closed because it was my favorite restaurant in the Valley and had been a regular since it opened. I just want to know if he opens another restaurant and where it is because I will definitely follow him to the next one and stay a regular.
