FRENCH FRIES IN MIDTOWN

  • t
  • 8

Hi. I'm taking the afternoon off tomorrow to spend some time with my 5 year old son.
We both love a quality frie but I'm not sure where to go in midtown(40-60 westside).
He is a pretty seasoned little New Yorker so we don't need a kiddie restaurant.
He likes the Odeon and the cafertia at MOMA
So any thoughts where we can go?

  1. NOT for the burger, but POP Burger on 58th and 5th has great fries... Not not not for the burgers though, again.

burger joint for the burger, yes, but for the fries? c'mon!

      1. I agree with Five Guys for thinner fries. I also think Olympic Pita has good fries as well. I like it because it's just plain old fresh Idaho potatoes. The only negative is that they don't sprinkle it with salt after frying. But I suppose you can add your own.

        1. Presuming you intend to order some other food along with your fries, you could go to Marseille, the bright, bustling French/Mediterranean brasserie, on the corner of 9th Av. & 44th St. The steaks and the burger come with fries, and though it's been a while since I've tasted them, I recall the fries as being excellent.

          1. Try Lucky's on 52nd and almost 9th Ave. Fries are excellent (cheese and chili available) and the burgers first rate. Has a kid friendly atmosphere as well!
