what do YOU bring to a wine and cheese party?

besides the obvious, or maybe not? trying to come up with some ideas besides a 10 min Trader Joe's grab . . .

    I guess it depends on the people hosting. My friends are always terrific with the cheese selections, so DH and I try to bring something maybe they don't have -- quince paste, grape must jam, or something along those lines. Recently when we hosted our own party, a guest brought a bottle of Porto. That was quite lovely.

      i always like to have some fresh fruit with my wine and cheese, so maybe something as simple as a fruit platter with grapes, apples, pears, apricots, etc...

        I think a special glass jar of honey would be beautiful.

          Funny... I just noticed another recent post about spiced nuts, so you should be able to find a good recipe!

          Uh, were you asked to bring something? If not, I imagine your host has it all planned. What you need to do is reciprocate: After a little bit of time has gone by, invite the hosts to your place for dinner, brunch, whatever.
