Salty Liquorice

Salty Liquorice is an aquired taste and I love it. Are there any fans out there who know where to get salty liquorice in San Francisco? I am looking for the kind you might get in Holland, Germany, or Scandinavia. I have a craving for some and have not seen it anywhere in the city. I hope someone out there can help.

You can try calling the candy shop on Columbus st. in North Beach. I don't know the the name but they carry a strange assortment of imported candies.

Molly Stones at the Tower Market location often has interesting stuff and might be worth another phone call.

you can get several different kinds at The Candy Store on Vallejo at Polk, and I think Miett's candy shop has a bunch too, although I prefer to shop elsewhere.
The owner of The Candy Store would probably try to get you whatever kind you like, she is very accommodating.

Miette's (Hayes Valley, not the Ferry Building) indeed has a good selection of licorice -- salty, sweet, soft, hard, smooth, textured, ... .
