Szechuan Peppercorn - SEA

I couldn't find any Szechuan peppercorns at 99 Ranch. Anybody see any around?

I recently bought some at the Edmonds 99, in the spice area across from dried staples (like tofu skin and dried lotus). I had to look carefully, since there were only one or two brands, and the labeling was mostly in Chinese.

I get all my spices at World Spice Merchants (http://worldspice.com/home/home.shtml). The usually have Szechuan Peppercorns, and I've found the quality of all their spices to be good to great. They are 2.00/oz right now which is cheaper than Penzy's.

It's near the market, but not in it. Down by the Spanish Table if you know where that is. There is usually parking on the street. I much prefer it to Market Spice in the actual market.

I got mine at market spice, in the actual market...they were cheaper than the world spice ones (I think it was 1.60?). and quite good.

Market Spice isn't bad. But I don't like the way the store is laid out (everything is behind the counter and you have to ask for prices and availability). Plus being were it is, it is usually crowded and cramped. My wife does love their tea though, so I'll give them that!

I've bought them at the spice place in the market as well.

I get mine at Viet Wah. For the Jackson Street location, they're located in the spice section across from the packaged meats.
