Where is it, and why?

  1. I'd have to say Brewer's Art. Their amazing home brews are a mere $1.85 druing HH. Get there early and get a comfy spot on a couch in the upstairs lounge and feel bourgeoise, or head down the basement, find a small nook, and hunker down. Order some famous rosemary fries, a cheese plate, or some other tasty nibbles. Watch it get really smoky and crowded.

I think the people-watching at Club Charles (next to the Zodiac) is the best in Baltimore, but have never made it there for HH. If they have HH specials, I can see it being a great place to go.

I don't know when the last time you went to Brewer's Art was, but it certainly wasn't recently! Beers are $2.75 (still a good deal) during happy hour (4-7 pm) and there is no smoking allowed in the entire bar courtesy of the city-wide smoking ban. For an even better deal, go on Monday when it's happy hour all night.

Also, Pazza Luna has a good happy hour special between 5 and 6:30 at the bar - all appetizers are $5 (or $4.50), wines by the glass are 1/2 price, and beers are $2/$3. Get there before 6.

I'm now living in Central Asia...guess it shows! The last time I was at BA was last summer, and I could swear that the brews were only $1.85....could the price have changed that much in 8 months? Or is my memory fuzzy due to too many Resurrections????

I guess I'll just have to go BA at the end of the month when I am back in Baltimore to check it out. It's such a hardship.... ;>

All night happy hour used to be on Sunday nights. Did they recently change that?

It's been Monday night since I moved here in July 2006.

It's Sunday and Monday, and it is beer-wise only.

      2. food-wise or booze-wise or both?

        1. I second Brewer's Art. It's even better now that it is smoke free. I personally have an addiction the the cheeseburger and fries with mayo. I find it to be a great place to go alone to people watch.
