Best restaurants (and hotels if you'll allow on this site)
I will be in Quebec City in August and will have 2 nights to have some great meals. We are 2 couples who love gourmet food and great wine. Which 2 restaurants would you choose for dinner? Laurie Raphael, Intiale and Panache seem to be ones we keep hearing about. Should we think about those, and which 2 out of the 3 would one choose?
We also like to stay in very deluxe hotels and are thinking between Hotel Dominion 1912 and Auberge Saint-Antoine. Which would one recommend?
Living in Quebec City half of week for the past 5 years, I suggest Auberge St-Antoine for hotel without any doubt. Make sure to reserve now since the 400th anniversary of Quebec City will make it difficult to find room during summer. For restaurants, since you only have 2 nights, I suggest Laurie Raphaël and L'Utopie. Initiale and Panache are very good choices too but you can find their standard in almost every restaurant in the world. For LR and L'Utopie, they are in their own class in Quebec. Kind of food that you cannot find everywhere and especially not presented the way they do. That differenciate the goods and the exceptional.
