Waffles near Tottenham Ct Rd

On a long walk a couple of days ago I passed several hole-in-the-wall places on Oxford Street (sort of near the Tottenham Court Road tube) selling waffles. I'd just had dinner so didn't stop to sample but the smell was tempting, if super-sweet. Has anyone tried them? How are they - indulge or avoid?

I can't imagine anywhere near the intersection of Tottenham Court Road and Oxford St would have anything edible. That being said, the noodle place that Limster recommended, Noodle Inn, is right there. Has anyone tried the burgers at Eagle Diner, on Rathbone St (not that far from the tube station).

I wasn't the first to mention Inn Noodle. Went there because it's been mentioned several times on the board by Ian and other hounds.

I used to go to Eagle Bar Diner regularly, until one day they forgot my Monterey Jack cheese. I told them, they took my burger back, and promptly returned it, with a cold piece of cheese stuck inside on top of my beef! Haven't been back since. It's also incredibly noisy and the service is slack. You can find far better burgers elsewhere!

I was at Inn Noodle on Wednesday - decent food (I had xiao long bao and la mien (with char siu pork), but chaotic service and dirty cutlery. It's not cheap either! But it's popular with Chinese people...
