Has any been to Lavigne Bistro in Awatukee? I've passed by it a few times and was wondering if it was any good.

  1. My husband and I were looking for somewhere to go last Friday night. We wanted somewhere nice, but comfortable. I remembered that one of my friends had just told me about a new French bistro and wine bar, La Vigne. It's located on Ray and I-10, right by the AMC theaters. She was telling me that it was beautiful inside and that the food was amazing, so we decided to try it out. She was more than right! The place was beautifully decorated, and dimly lit, giving the feel of a romantic street in Europe. It is a small independently owned place, and all were very friendly, so we felt right at home. I had the chicken and vegetable pasta, and Jim had the Fillet au poivre. The portions were generous and both were delicious. Our meals went perfectly with the wines our server suggested. They have a huge wine list and it looked like over 50 wines by the glass! After dinner, we shared the chocolate mousse dessert, which was really good and Jim got a cup of coffee while I had a cappuccino. That is the best coffee I have ever had! The price was quite reasonable for the quality and amount of food, and the wonderful atmosphere. Our server was very nice and helpful. We had a great experience and will definitely be back!!
