Middle Eastern in Tampa
Recently had a great meal at a new Middle Eastern place in Tampa. Java Village, with cafe and market, 4702 East Busch Blvd., 813-985-7000. Stunning, smooth, plenty-of-olive-oil Beirut hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, perfect falafel, decent lamb chops, great service, and pastries to die for including a donut-shaped cookie filled with dates. Anyone know what that's called?
Highly recommend. Casual, very little English among patrons. Friendly staff. A great experience.
