Where can I get some good tamales to bring home? I just know you all can help me. Please?

I like Ninfa's at 964 Kansas Ave, about 2 or 3 blocks west of 7th Street Trafficway. Great tortillas, too.

Bichelmeyer's a 7th and Cherokee in KCK sells them by the dozon on Saturdays. Excellent tamales.

STOP- there's only one place to go. El Pulgarcito. Just south of the Johnson Dr / Merriam Dr intersection. Go and make sure you buy some of that great spicy pickled cabbage they have.

Do you mean curtido, a sort of pickled slaw served with pupusas?

Yes- I don't care what you call it- I love it. and its good on the tamales too.
The El Pulgarcito pupusas are a treat as well.

I love the tamales at El Pulgarcito and the curtido, but Salvadorean tamales are quite different from Mexican tamales. Larger, softer and fluffier. You wouldn't be bringing a bag of a dozen home. (Well, maybe some of us would!)
