Would appreciate recommendations for places we can walk to from the rue de Buci flat we are renting in the 6th from Feb 15 to Feb 19, in case the weather (or our tired feet) have us stay close to home. Mainly interested in places we can go for lunch and/or dinner without reservations, dressed casually. Also looking for a nicer place for dinner Sat., Feb 15 (jacket, no tie okay for hubby, nice slacks/sweater for me). Looking for great, fresh food, simply prepared, not heavy cream sauces (but will consider a heavenly dessert!!!) We have the new Pudlow guide, but looking for recs from you hounds.

Thank you!

  1. This thread is a good start for suggestions in the 6th arr.http://www.chowhound.com/topics/446061

Other than that, the metro takes you anywhere within some 30 minutes. Consequently, do not stick to that arrondissement only.

    1. You will be so close to a great many lovely places to eat. I'll just throw out a few places we've enjoyed over the years, and you can do the research!
L'Epi Dupin - a bit of a walk but a short cab ride
      Polidor
Rotisserie D'en Face - Rue Christine
We're trying Ze Kitchen Galerie (next week)
La Mediteranee - Carrefour de L'Odeon (seafood)
