Littleton Colorado

Just started a new job in littleton. It is on Wadsworth just off of highway 285, 5700 S. Or around there. I was wondering if there are any good restaurants around me. I like everything so all restaurants would be appreciated. Thank You.

Try Namaste for their lunch buffet. Only 6.95. Usually pretty good if you like Indian food. www.namasterestaurant.com

Opus restaurant in downtown littleton is great, although I'm not sure how far from your work it is. It tends to lean towards 'finer dining' and can put a dent in the old pocketbook, but the service is impeccable and chef Michael Long's food never leaves you disappointed. Great spot for a business type lunch (*cough*expense account*cough*), or meeting up for a good meal after a long days work.

That place is so on the top of my list. The menu's one of the more exciting reads. Glad to hear it lives up.

My only complaint is that sometimes Michael lets go of the details, for example (I haven't been in a year or so, but) their 'seasonal vegetable' is huge asparagus, and baby carrots, nine times out of ten, not that it's no good, just one of those details that a few other places can hold onto a little better. However, as far as I'm concerned, Michael's bar concept (right next door to Opus) is easily the best bar food in town.

unfortunately, you kind of work in a little bit of a no man's land... unless you like fast food and chain restaurants.... I'd suggest driving north to the bel mar area... virigilio's pizza is one of my favorites.

south on wadsworth (off chatfield at pierce) is a little italian deli called Roberts (good stuff, though not sure I'd drive quite that far for lunch). Wild Ginger Thai is good, but on the other side of downtown littleton (you might be pointed in the direction of "thai bistro" as an alternative), but aside from select dishes... I think it is over-rated and pricey. Chicago jim's on kipling and chatfield has decent chicago style beef sammies.... I've heard they have good dogs, but can't vouch for them personally. big papa's on ken caryl (near C470) has good bbq, avoid hacienda colorado if you can, it is over-priced and way over-rated.

Cafe Jordano is a hidden little jem in the area. Small, (although, much larger than 10 years ago) unassuming, family owned Italian. I have been going there for years, you will not be disappointed. It is located on the SW corner of Kipling and Jewell in the Safeway shopping center. It can get rather crowded at lunch but is worth the wait. There is a new joint in downtown Littleton called Toast, pretty good breakfast and lunch spot. Also, the pizza place on Main Street is fun, simple and tasty. Forgive me, I do not recall the name. For Thai, there is Thai Bistro @ Kipling and Bowles and Wild Ginger on Littleton Blvd just before Broadway on the North side. I have lived in Littleton for 12 years and have many more, let me know if you are interested. Enjoy!
