RUSS KENDALL'S KNIFE RIVER

We stopped by Russ Kendall's smokehouse this past weekend near Duluth MN. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and very informative. We tried their smoked trout and smoked King Salmon. The trout was excellent. It was very moist and had a great smoked taste. The King Salmon was very good with the same smoked taste, but was slightly more dry. The prices were reasonable too.

    We have a cabin on Lake Superior and we stop at Russ's shop each time we head up North. A thirty year tradition with us of great smoked fish.
