Palms Thai

FED Oct 17, 2001 05:53 PM

I'm sure this has been discussed to death on this board, so forgive me, i'm a newbie. but i ate there again this weekend and was just amazed at the quality of the food. the beef jerky (chunks deep-fried until they're crisp, served with a nice, round, sweet hot sauce) and the green papaya salad with dried shrimp were among the best i've ever had. and, of course, on the weekend you get the thai elvis alternating sets with a very sweet thai man who seemed to play the entire first 3 albums of the eagles. wonderfully strange.

Welcome aboard, FED. You're right that Palms Thai has been mentioned here before. And you're in very good company in your assessment. You might enjoy taking a look at what others had to say. Just go to the home page search feature. Someone, I noticed, provided a link about the place. Do they still serve the curried boar and the salt and pepper frog. It really does sound wonderful. Pat

Yeah they still serve both, i still find myself going to Ruen Pair time after time though, you just can't beat the fried morning glories. :)
